Let’s get something straight: the best couple photos? They’re not about perfect angles or magazine-worthy poses. They’re about you.
The real you. The way you look at each other when you think no one’s watching. The way your hands naturally find each other. The way you laugh at the same dumb joke for the tenth time. That’s the kind of connection I look for when I’m photographing couples—and no pose in the world can create that.
Working as a photographer in Marbella and photographer in Malaga, I’ve had the chance to document love stories in all their messy, beautiful, unscripted glory. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: real connection can’t be staged. You can feel it—or you can’t.
Photos where you’re truly comfortable with each other? You see the warmth. You feel the energy. You remember not just what it looked like, but how it felt.
When you book a couple session with me, I’m not going to direct you like we’re on a fashion shoot. We’ll walk, we’ll talk, we’ll laugh. We might stroll through the old streets of Marbella, or wander down the coast somewhere quiet near Malaga. The point is—you won’t feel like you’re “on camera.”
Instead of stiff posing, I guide. I’ll offer gentle prompts, ask silly questions, and get you moving in ways that let your personality shine through. You’ll forget you’re being photographed and just exist in the moment together. That’s when the magic happens.
Almost every couple tells me the same thing at the start: “We’re awkward in front of the camera.” And every time, I nod and say, “Sure you are.”
Ten minutes later? They’re laughing, relaxed, and totally themselves.
Because no one’s actually awkward when they’re comfortable. And part of my job—whether I’m working as a photographer in Marbella or Malaga—is to create that space. Where you don’t need to perform. Where just being yourselves is more than enough.
