You’re not alone. Honestly, if I had a euro for every couple who told me, “We’re super awkward in front of the camera,” I’d probably be photographing my way through Tuscany right now. But seriously—being camera-shy is way more common than you think.
As a photographer in Marbella and Malaga, I’ve worked with couples of all personalities. The wildly expressive, the quiet and reserved, the ones who giggle every time they make eye contact… and the ones who’d rather be anywhere else than in front of a lens. And you know what? All of them ended up with photos they love.
Because it’s not about being a natural model. It’s about feeling safe, relaxed, and seen.

Pick a location that feels like you. We don’t have to shoot in front of a famous landmark. If you feel calm near the water, we’ll head to the sea. If quiet gardens feel better, that’s perfect too.
Breathe. Seriously. Deep breaths. I’ll take care of the rest.
Don’t look at the camera if you don’t want to. Some of the most emotional, moving shots happen when you’re focused on each other.
